Description

The new Kawakawa Library and Service Centre is located in the Te Hononga Hundertwasser Memorial Park. Opened in October 2020, the library is in the heart of Kawakawa, co-located with a gallery, community workshop space and a memorial to Hundertwasser. It is also a stop on the Twin Coast Cycleway, and signals the gateway to the Bay of Islands. Te Hononga Hundertwasser Memorial Park also has freedom camping spaces, as well as a 24/7 shower and toilet block for campers and cyclists. Open on weekdays 8-4.30 and 9-1 on Saturday, Kawakawa Library and Service Centre offers a full range of FNDC services copying, scanning, faxing, public access internet and Wi-Fi.
