TEMPORARILY CLOSED DUE TO COVID-19. In light of the Government's decision to move to COVID-19 Alert Level 4 from midnight Wednesday 25 March 2020, our public campsites will be closing to visitors. No one should be freedom camping or staying in public places. If you are unable to return home immediately you may be able to access temporary accommodation for self-isolation, to register call: 0508 754 163 ----- Freedom camping permitted in CERTIFIED SELF-CONTAINED VEHICLES ONLY. You may stay a maximum of 2 nights in any 30-day period. Take all rubbish with you and leave no trace. Keep New Zealand clean. Always use the toilet in your vehicle or a public toilet.
